This is the day tour to travel Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route departs from Toyama and arrive at Hirayu Onsen or Takayama.
Departure time in Toyama should be before 9:00 AM. (example 8:52 weekdays/8:57 weekends)
Pick up your tickets at Toyama Chitetsu Ticket Counter with the reference number.
Take Toyama Chiho Railroad and go to Tateyama Station.
Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route will be crowded in busy periods, so we suggest that to leave Toyama for Tateyama before 9 a.m. to arrive at Ogizawa Station (8:52 weekdays/8:57 weekends) . Please make sure to arrive at Ogizawa Station before bus departure time(16:05).
Show your Alpine voucher(2 tickets) at the ticket counter in Tateyama station and receive all of Alpine Route Tickets (Tateyama Station~Ogizawa Station).
Take Tateyama Cablecar to Bijyodaira from Tateyama. (7 minutes)
No guide in this trip. Please be aware to get on and off each vehicle yourself.
Please go through to Ogizawa Station by the bus departure time to Takayama.

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Schedule
Take Highland Bus to Murodo from Bijodaira. (50 minutes)
During spring, the bus runs along the Tateyama Snow Corridor.
At 2,500 m, this is the highest point on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
There are many places that you can take a walk to, such as Mikurigaike.
”Yuki-no-otani”snow wall is open to pedistrains from around mid April to mid June.
Tateyama has some of the heaviest snowfalls in the world. An average of 7 m accumulates every year. In heavy years up to 20 meters can accumulate!
Take Tateyama Trolly Bus from Murodo to Daikanbo. (10 minutes)
Outstanding view from the second floor and observation deck atop the station. A wide panorama of the Japan Alps and the lake formed by Kurobe Dam.
Take Tateyama Ropeway to Kurobedaira from Daikanbo. (7 minutes)
There is a garden as you exit the Kurobedaira station, surrounded by the scenic mountain range and Kurobeko (lake). The botanical garden displays high altitude plants.
Take Kurobe Cablecar to Kurobeko from Kurobedaira. (5 minutes)
At 1,500 m, Kurobe Dam is the highest arch dam in Japan.
The lake behind the dam holds 200 million cubic meters of water.
The dam is 186 m tall and 10 cubic meters of water pass through the dam every second generating one billion kWh per year.
Take Trolly Bus from Kurobe Dam to Ogizawa. (15 minutes)
Bus for Takayama leaves at 4:05 pm from Ogizawa Station.
Please be sure to arrive at Ogizawa before the departure time.
