  1. Takayama Bus Terminal(8:40) Shinhotaka Ropeway (10:16) Ride on the 1st Ropeway (10:30) Experience Snowshoeing at Nabedaira Kogen 　　 Ride on the 2nd Ropeway 　　 Observation Deck (Free Time) Shinhotaka Ropeway (14:55) Takayama Bus Terminal (16:31)

  2. *You can take the return bus at anytime you like.

Itinerary

  • Receive Ticket at Takayama Bus Terminal (8:25)

    Please pick up your  ticket at Takayama Bus Terminal with the reference number.

    ※Please come to the ticket counter 15 minutes before.

     

  • Receive your ticket at Takayama Bus Terminal and Take a bus (8:40)

    Please take a route bus at Takayama Bus Terminal #5 bound for ‘Shinhotaka Ropeway’.

    It takes about 90 minutes bus trip! Please enjoy the scenery from the bus.

    *The bus runs once every other hour. (leaves 40 minutes past every hour)

  • Arrive at Shinhotaka Ropeway (10:16am)

    You will meet your tour guide at Shinhotaka Ropeway bus station

    and  take the 1st ropeway and up to the Nabedaira Kogen.

    The guide will talk about the schedule and accompany until finishing the snowshoeing tour.

     

  • Arrive at Nabedaira Kogen

    Boots and climbing gear available for rent at visitor center.

    You do not have to bring your own gear, just wear your warm clothing.

    Highly trained guide will teach your all you need to know about walking in snowshoes.

    * Snowshoeing :  about 2 hours, 2.3 kilometers.

    * Snowshoeing is operated by SATOYAMA EXPERIENCE.

     

     

  • Experience Snowshoe Trek

     

    Enjoy the breathtaking scenary on your guided hike.

    The guide will point out animal tracks and local plants abd trees on the way.

     

     

  • Take the 2nd Ropeway

    At the end of your hike, you can relax at the Nabedaira Kogen

    or take the 2nd ropeway up to Nishihotaka Guchi (elevation 2,156,/7073ft).

     

  • Nishihotaka Guchi Observation Deck

    The observation platform is located on the rooftop of Nishihotakaguchi ropeway station.

    The altitude of the observation deck is 2,156 meters.  Enjoy the panoramic views of Northern Alps.

    And at Nishihotakaguchi ropeway station, you can enjoy your meal using the 1,000 yen food voucher.

  • Go back to Takayama Bus Terminal from Shinhotaka Ropeway

    After enjoying at the Shinhotaka Ropeway,  you can take a bus bound for Takayama whenever you like.

    * The departing time of the final bus from Shinhotaka Ropeway to Takayama is 4:55 pm.

  • Arriving at Takayama Bus Terminal
