- Shirakawago Light-up Bus Tour in 2026
Shirakawago is a settlement where “Gassho Zukuri” houses are built. It is registered as a world heritage site.
The Shirakawago Light-up event is held for four (4) days only during the most beautiful season of the year when snow piles up to approximately.
Please take this bus and enjoy the fantastic scenery which emerges from the white snow.

Details of sightseeing bus
This tour includes an admission to the Gassho-zukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum with sweet red bean soup(Zenzai) and allows you a close view at the illuminated Ogimachi Village. Wander through the beautifully lit-up gassho houses, and enjoy a magical and romantic moment in a snowy landscape with your beloved.
Takayama Nohi Bus center（3:40pm）→Shirakawago Light-up Event（4:40pm-7:20pm）→Takayama Nohi Bus center（8:20pm）
※Light-up hours are from 5:30pm to 7:30pm
※Children under 6 years old can travel for free of charge sitting on your lap. However, if you would like to secure a seat, please purchase a child ticket.
●Transportation only (Takayama ⇔ Shirakawago)

・There are no fixed-bus services back to Takayama City after the Light-up event in Shirakawgo. If you would like to view the Light-up in Shirakawago, please participate in this tour, Shirakawago Light-up Bus.
・A maximum of 6 people will be allowed upon one reservation.
・There may be instances that the arrival will be delayed due to snow or traffic conditions. The observation time may be shorter than planned because of this. We ask for your understanding.
・The evenings will be chilly, so please wear clothing suitable for cold weather and shoes appropriate for snow.
This tour is featured with a Observation Deck Ticket, the best place to enjoy a panoramic view of the village.
From this vantage point, you can truly appreciate the mountainous scenery and snow-covered village.
The spectacular view in front of your eyes is breathtaking and is a must-see magical moment once in your life.
Participants will have to go up to the observation deck and go down to the village on foot.

・Before boarding the bus, you must exchange your ticket at the Takayama Nohi Bus Center ticket counter. (Reception starts at 7:00 am on the day.)
