To travel from Kamikochi to the Shinhotaka Ropeway, you will need to transfer at Hirayu Bus Terminal.
Let’s take a short break at “Alps Kaido Hirayu,” which is attached to the Hirayu Bus Terminal!

12:40 From Hirayu Bus Terminal to Shinhotaka Ropeway
Take the 12:40 bus from Hirayu Bus Terminal to the Shinhotaka Ropeway. The bus departs from Bus Stop No. 3.
The bus is scheduled to arrive at the Shinhotaka Ropeway at around 13:16.

14:00 Arrive at Mountaintop Observation Deck
Enjoy a grand panorama of the Northern Alps from the mountaintop observation deck at an altitude of 2,156 meters!
Inside the station, you can enjoy meals and shop for souvenirs. Enjoy 2 hours of free time here!
“GOKAN,” located on the 2nd floor of Nishihotakaguchi Station, is a relaxing cafe featuring furniture made from locally sourced wood and timber harvested from the summit area.
Take Ropeway No. 2 back down the mountain
On your way back, transfer between the ropeways to return to the bus stop. The last bus from the Shinhotaka Ropeway to Takayama Nohi Bus Center departs at 16:55.

Oku Hida Bear Park
Over 150 bears from all over the world, including Tsukinowaguma (asiatic black bear) and Higuma (brown bear), gather here. Enjoy fun times with cute bears who will gently beg you to feed them!
Hida Daishonyudo
Approximately 2.5 million years ago, the Daishonyudo was an area spanning 800 meters at the bottom of the ocean. A mysterious world is revealed. Acknowledged as “The Holy Ground for Lovers”, it is also a popular location for couples.
Hirayunomori(Hirayu Onsen)
Oku Hida Natural Onsen flows from the foot of Mt. Norikura. Its 16 natural hot springs that spread out amongst the native forest make this a very popular area to relax.

■Please purchase your ticket at the ticket counter on the day of travel.
■On the route between Takayama, Hirayu Onsen, and Shinhotaka Ropeway, only buses operated by Nohi Bus are available.
■The Shinhotaka Ropeway voucher is valid for one round trip only and must be used within its expiration date.
■Buses and the Shinhotaka Ropeway do not require reservations. Please note that you may not be able to board at your preferred time during busy periods.
■No refunds after purchase.
■The Shinhotaka Ropeway is unavailable on maintenance days. In addition, service may be suspended due to inspections or adverse weather. Please check the Shinhotaka Ropeway official website for current operating status.
■If the Shinhotaka Ropeway is suspended after you have started using your ticket, we will provide a voucher that can be used within the ropeway facilities. Please note that no refunds will be given for any price difference.
