Shirakawago is a settlement where “Gassho Zukuri” houses are built. It is registered as a World Heritage site.
The Shirakawago Light-up event is held for four (4) days only during the most beautiful season of the year when snow piles up.
Please take this bus and enjoy the fantastic scenery which emerges from the white snow.

There are no fixed-bus services back to Takayama City after the Light-up event in Shirakawago.

Details of Sightseeing Bus
This tour includes admission to the Gassho-zukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum with sweet red bean soup (Zenzai) and allows you a close view at the illuminated Ogimachi Village. Wander through the beautifully lit-up gassho houses, and enjoy a magical and romantic moment in a snowy landscape.
Takayama Nohi Bus Center (3:40pm) → Shirakawago Light-up & Gassho-zukuri Minkaen Light-up (4:40pm-7:20pm) → Takayama Nohi Bus Center (8:20pm)

・Seats are limited. Please book as early as possible.
・Walking to the observation deck takes approx. 20 minutes uphill. Snow roads can be very slippery, so please wear appropriate non-slip footwear.
・Sunset times vary depending on the visit date.
A special tour including a hot spring bath ticket for “Hirase Onsen Shiramizu-no-yu” and a local souvenir gift from Shirakawago! (Enjoy exploring the village on the tour day, and use the bath ticket from the following day onwards.)
